End of a Great Season...

Joey was selected for the local All-Star travel team - and a great team it was! They made it all the way to the finals - victorious over some very good teams. Unfortunately, they simply had an off day during the finals and finished 2nd place for the year... a very good place to finish!

Let the Games Begin....

The 2010 Bratz (could we have a more out of date team name???) season opener was yesterday. As 12 scheduled practices only amounted to 1 actual practice (too much snow and rain) I was wondering how it would "play" out... With a tremendous amount of help from a whole bunch of parents, the girls did a great job! More importantly, they had a blast!

Abby batted twice and hit coach pitched balls twice - one single and one double. Little Abby packs some power behind her bat! Lilli's biggest play came during her time as 3rd base... she fielded a ball, touched 3rd base and tagged the runner... who was about 13.5 inches taller than she was! Her little legs are a blur when they get going!

This was Lilli's first official sporting event(and she has been seriously wondering if this day would ever come) ... and in the end, I do believe her favorite part was the Gatorade! :)

And We Have A Winner....

Holly and her doubles partner took first place in the county high school tennis tournament! The final match was definitely a nail biter - with a come from behind victory!

GREAT JOB HOLLY!

@@@@@ Update.... Holly also took first place in singles yesterday.... her final match being the best in her tennis career! So exciting!

Her team won the first tennis trophy that the school has ever earned! There were some very excited girls!

Great American Adventure Boy Style....

I am LOVING the mailbox these days......

... and that would be because Joey has received two letters over the last week congratulating him on two different scholarships for University - 1 Journalism scholarship and 1 academic scholarship!

I am thrilled that all the hard work Joey has put into his education has been recognized!

Great job Joey - Dad and I are so proud of you!

Houston... We Have a Problem...

A "Lilliism"...

Lilli rushed down the stairs and into the kitchen this morning for breakfast with a very concerned look on her face...

"Mommy, there is a big problem" she said here hands moving as fast as her lips...

"What is the problem Ms. Lilli?" I replied

"One of God's creatures is in our bathroom and it should not be there" she said rather excitedly.

"WHICH one of God's creatures?" I hesitantly asked (hoping that there was not a snake!).

"A big huge spider" Lilli replied, her eyes bigger than the spider I would imagine.

I quickly headed toward the stairs to go take care of the problem (with a tissue in my hand) and Lilli yelled after me...

"You know Mommy, we don't kill God's creatures!"

This is just a wee example of the "cuteness" that is Lilli!
