If you read my blog or know me ... you know that I am in the middle of a "camera fog". Well... Joe cleared all that fog yesterday when he took me to pick out an early Christmas present! We read and listened to the experts and decided our first foray into the SLR market would be the Sony Infinity 300. We were looking at the Nikon and the Cannon Rebel... but the Sony had more features that we wanted and just "felt" right in my hands. I am not even going to attempt to take photos until I read the manual... so stay tuned... I hope to blow myself away... and you too!
As for Holly's camera, we returned the Pentax and purchased a Sony (thanks for the recommendations everyone!) for her also. Image stabilization is the key... mega pixels are nice... but if the camera does not help you "steady" the image... what good is a super high mega pixel blur? Her new camera takes super pictures ~ about 370 on one battery charge! This will be a definite asset for her in her yearbook class/club at school.
